POLICY UPDATE: Policy 22: Cell Phone Use

 Policy 22: Cell Phone Use 

Volunteer Cell Phone: If you are signed up as a volunteer, cell phone usage is discouraged. If a phone call is necessary, please keep the length of time to 2 minutes. 

Shopping Cell Phone: use while shopping is discouraged. Please refrain from phone use while shopping in the building. We are working to get 50-80 families through in a few short hours, phone use while shopping slows down the shopping time. Individuals who are shopping and on the phone, holding up the line, will be given a warning. In the event that you have an emergency or need to use your phone, please put your cart to the side and exit the building. Please re-enter the building after your phone use is complete.  

Target Truck Volunteers needed Thursday

Target Truck Help Needed 

Jobs: 

Unloader : will need to be able to lift and move product

Barcoder: Will need to be able to sit and mark out barcodes with a sharpie

Sorter: will need to be able to sort / lift product

Please NOTE: We have slated that this is an hour long volunteer opportunity. You will need to stay the full hour, besides these jobs, there are things that can be done like: Cleanup the cardboard, sweep the lot, ask for other jobs that need to be completed. 

We do our best to guess the truck arrival time, but this all depends upon the warehouse and events that are out of our control.

Zoom meeting will start at 7pm. The easiest hour of volunteering you can get!!! Please come and be a part of the program conversation. 

If you have questions and want us to bring them up, please text Patty or Alicia before 3pm tomorrow so we can get them on the agenda.

CANCELLED! --Help needed on Wednesday - Please help out

We need 3-4 trucks to help collect donations at 1:00 in Corvallis on Wednesday. Plus maybe 6 volunteers to help load vehicles. Please meet at the site at 12:30 unless they make arrangements with Patty. We will need help  unloading at the site, maybe 4 people at 3:00.

You will need to be able to lift at least 15-20 #.

1.1.2. Adoptee: An Adoptee Household is a household where no member is either physically or

mentally capable of performing the gleaning program’s hours of required service. Adoptee households

are encouraged to help but are not required to put in volunteer hours. Adoptees must wait 24 hours after a volunteer sign up is posted to sign up to allow for all Gleaning members to have the opportunity to get the sign up as their membership requires volunteer hours. Adoptee households have the

same rights as gleaning households. Adoptees are expected to vote and help with fundraisers when

possible. Adoptees are subject to periodic review on a case-by-case basis. If you are able to be

employed, you are not an Adoptee.
