REMINDER - February 1st starts our 4 hours of gleaner volunteer requirements for those that are shopping indoors and feel comfortable.  Please connect with Patty or sign up for a cleanup time during the month.

BURLAP BAGS REQUEST -  Anyone have burlap bags (5-6) willing to donate? Bring them in if you do! 

Gleaners - Please note that we voted in the meeting Thursday night to require 4 hours of 

volunteer time per month if you are shopping inside the building. This will be effective 

February 1, 2021. We need help with cleanups on Mondays and Saturdays and need folks to 

sign up to help. 

We would like everyone to sign up for at least 1 clean up and then we have other small jobs

that are always helpful. Some examples are: Wash and wipe out the van, organize the can, 

help unload trucks, wash pig bins, stack the pallets, clean up the outside area, etc. 

 Once we get over all the COVID restrictions, we will go back to our regular 

8 hours of volunteer time.

Special Distribution of Pet Food - THURSDAY January 14th

 Special Distribution of Pet Food

THURSDAY - Tentatively at 3pm. Plan is to arrive at 2pm. We need 4 volunteers to help unload. please sign up below to shop. SIGNUP due by Wednesday at 9pm! 

We do not know what brand or size or type of pet food we are getting and we will not know until we arrive and start unloading.

We want each and every one of you to be aware of the rules. Every pound that we bring in MUST be weighed IN. Every pound that is taken out MUST be weighed out. This is important for keeping records of the program and inventory as we do inventory each year. 

If you take something without weighing an item out, this is called theft and is subject to immediate suspension of your membership. If you are in need of something and it is not a shopping day, you must have full approval of either the Coordinator, Co-Coordinator, Secretary, or Treasurer and must be weighed out by another member. 

When we get in special distributions (like Target), no items are to be taken from the site until a distribution day. The only case where this might be okay is if we have more than enough to go around. This is up to the Coordinator and Co-Coordinator. For instance, when we get 5000# of turkey, we can go ahead and send some out with folks that day.

Drawing #1 for January

We have some extra items. Please sign up by 5pm on Friday the 8th. We will cut off the drawing and please plan to pick up your items either on Saturday or Monday of distribution. We want to get these items out to families and we need to get them out of our space. Items not picked up by Monday will be put back for the next drawing.

COVID Restrictions-PLEASE READ ME

 Hello Gleaners,

The numbers are going up for Covid19 and some of our partner agencies are really being hit hard. We are requiring that if you have had friends of family visit from out of town or out of state to please refrain from volunteering or shopping inside the building. We will make you a bag for pickup if you sign up for it, but you MUST stay out of the building for at least 10 days after your last visit from someone who fits the criteria. 

This will allow us to keep our doors open to help those that have a need.
