Any changes after 6pm on Sunday night, please text Alicia (Do not email as email isn't checked as frequent as text)

If there are large gaps in the shopping sign up, I will try to move folks around and we will close up early. Just depends upon how many folks are shopping. If I need to move folks, I (Alicia) will text you.

A letter from a member:

A letter from a member:

I wanted you to know how much I appreciate Gleaners. I have met some wonderful, compassionate people here. Most of us are in the same boat. It is hard to make ends meet. I don't know any other organization where you can walk away with hundreds of dollars of food and goods. It is truly amazing.

I am just going to get to the point. Gleaners needs help. Just one dollar for each family per visit. It costs us $80.00 to rent the truck from OSU to pick up from Target. So if every family can give a dollar visit, it is one less worry.

Thank you so much!

Note from Alicia: Yes this would be amazing if everyone would give $1.00 each visit. We have about 140 shoppers weekly and that would contribute around $560.00 per month to our program. We understand that not everyone can do this so please do not feel that this is a requirement as we do not have dues in this program.

Policy updates - all members must read

Please read the new policies as each member is affected.

1.5.6 No Shows (Volunteers): Any member who signs up for a volunteer shift and does not call or show up with at least 4 hours' notice will receive an automatic warning. Showing up 30 minutes late will be considered a no show and result in a warning. Please refer to policy 1.5.4 that explains the warning policy and ramifications.

1.5.7 No Shows (Shopping)

Any member who signs up to shop and does not show up to shop will be required to sign up for a cleanup shift the next time they wish to shop. Adoptees who do not call or show up will be added to the end of the shopping list for the next shopping experience. If a member is more than 30 minutes late to shop without contacting the person in charge you will not be able to shop. Failure to show up 3 or more times in a year without notice to the person in charge for the day will result in a warning. Subsequent no shows will be a cause for suspension. Please refer to policy 1.5.4 that explains the warning policy and ramifications. This policy is for all volunteers, those who sign up and those who have a weekly commitment.

17.1 No pets will be allowed at the PCS site - This includes in your vehicles.
17.2 Only licensed or certified, fully vaccinated service animals will be allowed at the site, and they must be on a leash and although not required, it would be helpful if they had on a service animal vest.

Drawing - Ends June 16 at 3pm

Please READ the instructions on the google form before you sign up so you do it correctly.

NEW MEMBERS: We will sometimes hold items donated back and have a drawing for the items so that all members have a fair and equal opportunity to win the items. We use an automated program online to choose the winners. Please follow the instructions (instructions are at the top of the google form, link below). If you do it and choose too many items, the person who is doing the drawing will be choosing which 2 items will be entered for. Please make sure you plan to shop the days scheduled as we do not keep items and items not picked up will be put back into the next drawing.
