Blueberry Glean - August 2nd at 5pm
What: Blueberry Glean
When: 5pm - Wednesay - August 1st.
Where: Meet at PCS at 5pm
--Please remember to bring your own containers to bring home your own blueberries you pick. Gleaners are able to take home 1/2 of what they pick. The remaining half will go to our adoptees.
Farm Excess today only
We have excess amount of Cucumbers and summer squash. We will allow for anyone from the group to come and "shop" those bulk items:
1 to 4pm today ONLY
Bring your own bags/boxes!
You will need to check in with the person at the checkout BEFORE desk and then weigh out the produce.

As always, if you make any changes after 9pm the prior evening, you MUST text Patty (DO NOT EMAIL WHEN YOU CANCEL as we do not check email as often) (Tues - Sun volunteer shifts) or Alicia (Monday shifts) so we can get the spot filled.

Benton County Fair FUNDRAISER - Volunteers needed!
Members!
We have been given the opportunity to do a fundraiser by sitting and manning the gate at the Benton County Fair!
Philomath Gleaners day is August 3rd. We have multiple slots open all day long. This is a super easy fundraiser
that we are hoping to be successful in and be invited back in 2024! We could use the funds to help support our
food needs with our program!
The first shift is super important in getting the training to pass on to the volunteers the rest of the day.
The first trainers will train the next and so on. Training starts at 7:30 at the
Orange Gate (West entrance). There will be a 10x10 tent at each gate for volunteers.
Map of the grounds will come later - closer to the event date!

Who Is Eligible for an AC Unit?
People who are eligible:
- Do not have a cooling device, and
- Qualify for medical assistance through OHA, Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) or Medicare, or have received these services in the past 12 months, and
- Are at risk for heat-related illness. This includes:
- People age 65 years or older; or
- Medically fragile children; or
- People with a disability or health condition that makes them vulnerable to heat events. These include diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, obesity, or a respiratory disease.
Who Is Eligible for an Air Filtration Device?
People who are eligible:
- Do not have an air filtration device, and
- Live in Deschutes, Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, East Lane, Klamath or Lake County, and
- Qualify for medical assistance through OHA, ODHS or Medicare, or have received these services in the past 12 months, and
- Are at risk for health issues due to wildfire smoke. This includes:
- People age 65 years or older; or
- Medically fragile children; or
- People with a disability or health condition that makes them vulnerable to wildfire smoke. These include diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, obesity, or a respiratory disease.

Members: This is information that might be helpful for you with regard to volunteering or knowing who is the lead for each day.
This schedule is for leaders to know the schedule and that if you are not set as a lead, you are not to be at the site. This is to help with leader burnout. Burnout as a volunteer is a real thing and each person is a valuable member of our community.
Leaders will not sign up on the sign up genius to allow for members to have the opportunity to sign up. Leaders will sign up online only when we have an urgent need.
