Shopping Sign up for October 2nd. 

Please remember to arrive 10 minutes early. 

Reminders: Please keep 6 feet between shopping members - We are still in the middle of a pandemic. Please make sure if you have any issues--you take them to the person in charge for the day. 

We have discussed the hours again and will continue to REQUIRE 4 hours for each household as it has been these past months. We will not increase it to 6 hours for October, but we will following the hours policy and sending out letters/emails for those not getting in their hours.

Remember we should only have 1 adult per household entering the building for shopping. We are in a pandemic. More than 1 person per house hold is allowed when children need to be with parents. Please note this is for the safety of everyone. 

Please make sure to read signs and follow the household size rules.

Drawing!!!! Please sign up by 6pm on October 1st. You MUST plan on shopping either October 2nd or 4th to pick up items. We will not tell you if you won or not as that is a lot of emails, etc. If you are not in town or do not plan to be shopping, then do NOT sign up. Any items not picked up by Monday shopping will be put back into the drawing for the next drawing. We do not save items unless we forget your items or we miss it on our end. 

You can enter for 3 items. We will limit winners to 1 item per drawing. Please tell us your 1st, 2nd, & 3rd choices.

Potato Glean Monday 10/4 - UPDATE

We are having a potato glean on Monday - October 4th. We will meet at 8am at Electric Road across from the Peach Place. If you have any questions about this glean or how to get there, please connect with Fela @ 541-908-2093. We have been asked to bring our biggest crew to this glean and help out.

We need ALL hands on deck. This is a 1 acre plot and OSU needs us to clear the potato. If we can't get this done, they will call out another group and we may loose the donation for next year. Please sign up if you can make it!

Target Truck Unloading - Thursday 9/30

Target truck help needed. 12 truck arrival and a 2pm arrival (these are estimated times and you will start your volunteer time at noon no matter if truck is there or not). Last day to get in your hours for September.

Tomato Glean - 9/23 - SIGN UP BY 5pm!

 

Tomato glean for 9/23 (Thursday) @ 8:30am. OSU Crop farm. Meet at 8:30 prompt at Electric Road across from the Peach Place.

Wednesday Volunteer still needed.

We are hoping to have one person do the Store pickups tomorrow. You can meet Tim at the site at 9am, or you can meet him at the 2 stores he goes to. 

Many many folks do not have their 4 hours of required volunteer hours in for the month. Looks like about 9 days left.

Volunteer Opportunities

We have set up Sign up Genious for volunteers that we need for the year. Please do NOT just show up to volunteer at the site without signing up first or asking Patty/Alicia. We are still working to keep our crews safe during the pandemic. 

We have added possible volunteer opportunities to the calendar. Reminder that you are "required" to put in 4 hours of volunteer hours each month. We will be requiring 6 hours starting October 1st.  

Posts for shopping hours will still happen on Fridays / Sundays. Target volunteers will be sent out separate as well as we don't always have a target pick up.

Large Grape Glean Wednesday 5pm

Wednesday (TOMORROW) September 15, 2021. 

Meet at Peavy Arboretum at 4:45pm as the vineyard is very close. This is NOT Andersons, so do not go there. Please make sure you connect with FELA before you proceed on any property. We have been invited by Albany gleaners to join them. You will need to drive your own car or ride with friends.

Pear Glean sign up (RSVP Required)

 We have a pear glean scheduled for Tuesday September 21, 2021. We will be meeting at the site at 2:30pm and then heading out to Wren area for a glean to start at 3pm. You will need to drive your own car or ride with friends.
