Volunteer Sign Ups and a Message From Jennie
Gleaners,
Some important things to note...if you are not already in training, been trained or been talked to about being a lead DO NOT sign up for a lead position. If I find someone signed up for a lead position and they are not trained for it they will be removed from the slot.
****ALSO we need a qualified driver + helper for this Friday and for 1st and 3rd Fridays (this is likely temporary until our other driver can come back.) This is urgent as this is imperative for Friday Distribution to happen.I need to note that there is a lot of heavy lifting this is not an easy position to do. And it is one that neither Linda nor I can do.
If you are interested in leadership please come talk to Linda or myself. Please do not go above our heads or PCS's head to get into leadership. This is absolutely disrespectful and I don't take kindly to someone going behind our backs to get answer or whatever you desire with out coming to us first. There is a chain of command for a reason. If you have an issue or concern come to Linda or myself. If we cannot solve it we will take it to Sharon, who will go to the PCS Board as a last resort. I have been very open that being the coordinator is not an easy position, there is a lot of behind the scenes that has to happen to make this program work. If you feel you can do the job better than we can come talk to us because Linda and I are open to having a conversation and training someone new to take over.
Lastly there is a mandatory membership meeting this Thursday February 5th, 2026 at 6:30 pm. The options for attendence will be clarified in an email that will be sent out tomorrow with and agenda and the zoom link.
