Hello folks:
We are working hard to make this program as fair as possible with how we offer volunteer hours to ALL members. There are plenty of hours in the month for all members. What you see on the sign up genius is not all the hours available for the program. We have pickup drivers, regular crew, and delivery volunteers who are committed weekly to volunteer (They do not sign up on the form online). That being said, folks still struggle to get a slot.
We previously have asked that everyone do the following:
1: Wait 24 hours between signing up for volunteer slots
2: Hold off 24 hours if you have your full 8 hours in for the month
3: Adoptees hold off for 24 hours to sign up to help.
We would like to consider changing this to the following (see BOLD for change suggestion):
1: Wait 24 hours between signing up for volunteer slots AND you are are only allowed to sign up for 1 slot per day per household (Exceptions allowed for the Non Shopping cleanup slots). If you are bringing 2 people who can both be of help, you can sign up the same day.
2: Hold off 24 hours if you have your full 8 hours in for the month
3: Adoptees hold off for 24 hours to sign up to help.
Below is the voting Policy for new members who are not sure if they can vote yet.
Voting Policy:
8.1 The Philomath Gleaners only allows 1 vote per household.
8.2 Only a member in good standing that has been a member for 3 full months will be allowed to vote.
