Did you know that Philomath Gleaners is a delivery spot for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program? Once a month, our volunteers go to the warehouse and pick up the CSFP boxes and bring them to our site so that community and gleaner members can get a supplemental food box. This program is run through Linn Benton Food Share.
Do you know someone who could use this program? Applicants are not required to be members but they do have to be able to pick up their boxes from our site. Applicants must be at least 60 years old and be in the income guidelines below. We are open for applications and can help. Please contact Alicia Warren @ 541-231-7127 to sign up over the phone.
For more information on the program, you can check out the USDA website:
https://www.fns.usda.gov/csfp/commodity-supplemental-food-program
We have donated items from the Fire Victims items and they have trickled down little by little to distribution but we need to move the product out. We plan to have a 1 time giveaway tomorrow (February 24th) from 3-5pm. We have lots of books, games, misc items.
In order to facilitate this, I do need 2 volunteers to assist from 2-6pm. This will include setting up tables, helping move items from upstairs to the parking lot (should be a nice day so we can be outside). Then cleanup afterwards. please text Alicia @ 541-231-7127 to volunteer.
Please let me know if you would like to come and shop by signing up on the link below.
Sign up is closed. If you missed it and want to shop, please text Alicia at 541-231-7127
Monday Mornings could use some help from 10-12 weekly. 1-2 extra folks would be good. If you can volunteer on Mondays 10-12 with setup, please text Alicia 541-231-7127. We do need help tomorrow. Could do alternating weeks if you can find someone to alternate with.
Monday Sign up. I will close the list at 8am Monday morning. If you have any questions, please text Alicia @ 541-231-7127

Dear members,
We need your input. Currently all of our members come in, take a temperature, wash hands, and then glove up. I would like to share some pros/cons so we can come to a consensus of if we should change things up.
1. Members are currently all washing hands prior to going through the site for food, do they really need gloves?
2. Gloves are extremely hard to put on after a person washes their hands.
3. A person is much more likely to feel the need to wash their hands if something is on their hand vs. a glove that you can not feel.
4. The cost of gloves and the waste for our environment takes its toll.
of coarse if anyone wants to wear the gloves for personal safety, we would have them.
PLEASE VOTE BY FRIDAY February 19th at 5pm:
