Please read this in it's entirety so you are aware of the program

ALL MEMBERS !!!

Please read this in it's entirety so you are aware of the program. A full policy and procedure PDF is available on the blog to the right hand side for you nightly leisure reading 🙂

Thank you for being a part our gleaner group. We are an organization of like-minded individuals who want to better themselves and our community. We offer a weekly shopping adventure that not only feeds or bodies, but our minds.

We ask that anybody who can contribute 4 hours a month to help our group. We welcome more than 4 hours if you can. With the many chores that are required to keep our shopping experience viable, it takes a lot of hard work. There are many opportunities available for different levels of physical abilities. All volunteers must sign up in order to help.

It is important to remember that everyone is a volunteer and we are all doing the best that we can, so please be kind when interacting with other members. If a problem arises, please go to the person in charge and have a conversation in order to find a peaceable solution.

Gleaning the fields in our community is an important part of our mission. The opportunity to glean will be plentiful and is beneficial to our group as well as to the individual. It is important that everyone that can participate do so at least twice a year. Individuals that glean can take home half of their harvest and the rest is shared with the adoptees in our group.

Qualifications of a Member in Good Standing

  1. Complete the required amount of volunteer hours each month

  2. Shop at least once a month

  3. Attend two field gleans per year

  4. Adhere to the ethical standards put forth by Philomath Community Services:
